Oklahoma as you have never seen it before!
…unless you saw the last two productions here!!
Due to another overwhelming demand, and the 75th anniversary of Oklahoma!, we are coming back to Four Oaks Farm in January 2018.
Set in the beautiful Adelaide Hills at Four Oaks Farm, we are bringing this beloved classic to life with a real windmill, a real surrey, live horses and a country fair to boot! Come along and totally immerse yourselves in this unique family friendly experience.
Rodgers & Hammerstein’s first collaboration remains, in many ways, their most innovative, having set the standards and established the rules of musical theatre still being followed today. Set in a Western Indian territory just after the turn of the century, the high-spirited rivalry between the local farmers and cowboys provides the colourful background against which Curly, a handsome cowboy, and Laurey, a winsome farm girl, play out their love story. Although the road to true love never runs smooth, with these two headstrong romantics holding the reins, love’s journey is as bumpy as a surrey ride down a country road.
Featuring some of Adelaide’s finest talents in opera and music theatre this will be an experience not to be missed. Tickets are strictly limited so book early! Kids under 3 free. There will be delicious food options, a bar stocked with local beverages, local country baked goods and country crafts for sale too! (CASH ONLY)
Please make note of your show time and date. Seating is general admission and there is also the option to sit on picnic rugs provided at the front or bring your own. Feel free to move your chair to the shade as the sun moves.
