In May 2017, Emma Knights Productions created a 1920s speakeasy in the stunning art deco Woodville Town Hall. As with all good speakeasies, the venue was kept a secret until the week of shows and you also received a password to get into the gin bar to have you prohibited gin in a teacup! This was all before the show began! Nominated for Adelaide Theatre Guide’s Best Professional Musical (as set by the Adelaide Theatre Guide Standards), Best Professional Female – Stefanie Rossi and Fiona Aitken – and winner of Best Professional Male – Jeff Lang, this was a very special production for both cast, crew and the audience. It received an overwhelmingly positive response and featured a truly superb local cast including Stefanie Rossi as Velma and Fiona Aitken as Roxie, Jeff Lang as Billy Flynn, Mark DeLaine as Amos and Melanie Smith as Mama.
