New Year, New Shows
My company’s first large-scale musical production, Oklahoma! was performed in January 2015 at Four Oaks Farm in the Adelaide Hills. The cast included two beautiful horses, ponies, ducks, geese and a peacock! I also ran Aqua Beats, as part of Splash Adelaide, a free music concert in Victoria Square and created a music-literary event called A Day With Jane.
We’re Going Back
How could I not hold a Back to the Future event on the 21st of October at 7.28 pm?! I created two new cabaret shows for the Come Together Band: Summer of Love and More Than a Woman and held a Good Ol’ Fashioned Barn Dance. Floating Melodies hosted Keith Conlon’s Stories & Songs (now called Horrible History of Adelaide).
Pirates, adventures and getting lost!
We performed a sold-out extended season of Pirates of Penzance in Adelaide Fringe on the River Torrens/Karrawirraparri cruiser, The Popeye, directed by Andrew Turner. I also created a classical music scavenger hunt called Haydn Seek, an original music concert in the Mintaro Maze called Lose Yourself, and an improvised children’s adventure show called Tales of Adventure. The Come Together Band was formed for the Best of British Pop of the 50s & 60s. I joined forces with Karen Lettice Productions for a production of the Christmas opera, Amahl & The Night Visitors.
Emma Knights Productions is born!
To raise funds for a production of the children’s opera, Space Encounters, I created the uniquely South Australian music-concert series, Floating Melodies. The first cruise was held on the 19th of June, 2013. We also ran a one-off event called A Princess Journey!
