Emma Knights Productions

Emma Knights Productions was established by South Australian musician Emma Knights in 2013 with the vision to create jobs and opportunities for artists in South Australia whilst providing unique music-based and immersive experiences for audiences.

Emma Knights is a graduate of both the Elder Conservatorium (classical performance) and the West Australian Academy of Performing Arts (contemporary music). She had toured internationally with The Bailey Dolls (Vintage Vendetta) and professionally with Opera Queensland. It was this tour in 2013, and a passion for showcasing local talents and places, that sparked the creation of Emma Knights Productions when she purchased the sets and costumes to Space Encounters at the end of the tour – saving them from being dumped! To raise funds to cover rehearsal costs to stage Space Encounters in Adelaide, she decided to do three fundraising concerts on board Popeye. These concerts, Floating Melodies, became Emma Knights Productions’ flagship series as well as a 2016 SA Tourism Silver Award Recipient.

Emma Knights Productions has had many other productions spring from the mind of Emma including Space Encounters (performed in Something on Saturday and Out of The Square in 2014), Haydn Seek, Swan Lake Remixed, Pirates of Penzance on the Popeye (sold out in Adelaide Fringe since 2014), Tales of Adventure (performed in Something on Saturday in 2015), Aqua Beats (selected as a curated event for the Umbrella Festival in 2017) and Lose Yourself…A local singer/songwriter concert in the Mintaro Maze. Emma was shortlisted in 2014 for the Telstra Young Business Woman of the Year, her production of Oklahoma! On A Farm was nominated for the Adelaide Theatre Guide Best Musical Award (Professional) in 2016 and her production of Chicago was nominated for the Adelaide Theatre Guide Best Musical Award (Professional) and Best Female (Professional) for Stef Rossi and Fiona Atkin and won Best Male (Professional) for Jeff Lang in 2017.

You can see more about these and other productions by visiting out Productions tab on the left menu. For five years it is quite a bit of history and you can see what is coming up on the Events Calendar.
